Can we see the unseen?

Measuring digital biomarkers before symptoms of Alzheimer's disease appear. NeuroFlex is being built as a longitudinal behavioral research platform — with a cognitive wellness Android app as its first user-facing tool — designed to detect change before it becomes damage.

NeuroFlex is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace medical evaluation, treatment, therapy, or professional healthcare advice.

Research direction

The symptoms are late. The signals come earlier.

By the time Alzheimer's disease is clinically diagnosed, significant neurodegeneration has already occurred. NeuroFlex is designed around a different premise: that subtle changes in how people interact with everyday digital tasks — reaction latency, hesitation, consistency, routine drift — may carry measurable signal years before the first symptom.

Digital biomarkers

Reaction time, task hesitation, completion patterns, memory recall curves, and behavioral consistency — captured passively through everyday app use.

Longitudinal trajectories

A single data point is noise. A trajectory spanning months is signal. NeuroFlex is built to study how behavioral patterns evolve — not just how they look at a single moment.

Privacy-first architecture

Anonymous identifiers, explicit consent, minimal personal data, and careful scientific language — built into the architecture from the start, not added as an afterthought.

From interaction to insight

Every tap is a data point. Every pattern is a hypothesis.

The product layer creates frequent, low-pressure interactions. The event layer beneath preserves the behavioral process — timing, hesitation, sequence — that turns individual actions into research-grade longitudinal data.

Roadmap

A research platform built one phase at a time.

We are currently in Phase 1. The architecture is designed so that everything built now is a foundation — not a dead end.

Phase 1 · Now — Wellness MVP

First user-facing tool: a free offline Android application with brain training games, daily habit reminders, an alarm system, daily check-ins, and structured behavioral event architecture. No data collection. Establishes the product experience and the event schema future phases will build on.

Phase 2 — Research Infrastructure

Anonymous identifiers, layered consent management, secure cloud sync, a behavioral event ingestion pipeline, and encrypted storage. Ethics committee approval required before activation. Research-grade data pipeline with privacy-first design and full GDPR compliance.

Phase 3 — Longitudinal Dataset Development

Multi-cohort participant recruitment, multi-year observation, academic research partnerships, and integration with clinical biomarker programmes for ground truth development. Target: a sufficiently powered observational dataset for trajectory characterization research.

Phase 4 — AI & Machine Learning Research

Behavioral trajectory clustering and classification, anomaly detection for longitudinal change, stratified model development across research cohorts, and exploration of associations between behavioral biomarker trajectories and cognitive outcomes. Peer-reviewed publication and independent validation required before any scientific claims.

Important medical disclaimer

NeuroFlex is not medical care.

NeuroFlex is intended for general wellness, cognitive engagement, habit support, and future research exploration. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, predict, prevent, treat, monitor, or cure Alzheimer's disease, dementia, mild cognitive impairment, depression, anxiety, or any other medical or mental health condition.

Information and activities provided by NeuroFlex do not replace professional medical advice, clinical evaluation, therapy, diagnosis, or treatment. Users should consult qualified healthcare professionals for any health concerns, cognitive symptoms, mental health concerns, medication decisions, or changes in physical or emotional wellbeing.

If you or someone else may be in immediate danger or experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis support provider immediately.

The question is not whether early detection is possible. The question is whether we are measuring the right things.

NeuroFlex is designed to support people today while building the evidence base for responsible, privacy-conscious behavioral research into cognitive decline tomorrow.
